Marketing Broker Australia was born out of owner and director Luke Hawley’s marketing journey. Luke spent several years working with a large multi-national corporation (Procter & Gamble – P&G). He specialised in trade marketing for big brands such as Olay, Metamucil, Vicks, Clearblue and Tampax. Luke worked with small to large distributors and retailers across Australia and New Zealand, including Coles, Woolworths, Metcash, Target and Priceline. He helped his clients (the retailers and distributors) to leverage their marketing assets (in and out of the store) to grow their beauty and healthcare businesses using meaningful data and insight. Using the training and resources of P&G, Luke provided consultation support. He saw the real impact of collaborating with marketing and category managers.

Luke returned to the Sunshine Coast and the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2016. He continues to lecture, tutor and help with course content development in a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate marketing courses. Luke has a real passion for developing a new generation of marketers that operate with integrity, creativity and who are always mindful of the impact they’re having – not just on their customers, but their community and environment.

In 2018, Luke and Matt started a digital marketing agency with other aspiring marketing professionals, each bringing their expertise and talent to the mix – a collaboration of four industry experts with over 30 years of shared marketing experience. The agency focused on supporting local service providers with affordable marketing solutions. This provided the team with an opportunity to speak to and work with hundreds of local business owners. Over two years, the team discovered the following:
